Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of precise foot massage where pressure is applied to the reflex areas on the feet using specific thumb and finger techniques to detect and address imbalances in the body. As a trained reflexologist I move my thumbs or fingers over reflex areas of your foot and can detect any abnormalities. As these areas correspond to organs and systems of your body, pressure to reduce or eliminate the abnormalities benefits the corresponding body organs and systems.  Reflexology addresses not only the symptoms but also the underlying cause accelerating your body's natural healing process.

Reflexology can benefit any age group from babies to the elderly. Not only can reflexology be used to help with ill health but also it can be a useful and pleasurable way to maintain good health and promote emotional well-being. Many clients have regular monthly treatments for this purpose.

Numerous disorders respond well to reflexology including:

Muscular-skeletal problems (e.g. non-specific back pain, shoulder problems)
Bowel function problems (e.g. constipation and irritable bowel syndrome)
Headaches, migraine and sinus problems
Hormonal imbalances (e.g. premenstrual tension, thyroid imbalance, control of blood sugar levels)
Fertility problems
Pregnancy related problems (e.g. nausea, backache, hypertension, oedema)
Circulatory problems
Respiratory problems (e.g. asthma)
Stress, anxiety and depression
Side effects of chemotherapy
Neurological disorders
